I am a freelancer living on the Otago Peninsula. I write- everything from business copy to a comic column for the Otago Daily Times. I design- websites, textiles, brandmarks and marketing material. Mostly, I like working with small businesses to improve their revenues by refining their strategy and reflecting this in better visual and written communications.
I have fifteen years' experience as a creative agent and in business development roles in startup environments in Australia, China and New Zealand. My background in startups has required a broad skill set and because of this I am capable across many disciplines. I am comfortable with design, copywriting, website builds, project management as well as strategy for sales, marketing and PR. Because my career started in sales before branching into design through necessity, my creative work is rooted in strategy and an understanding of markets and revenue streams. My passion is digital and I enjoy being able to create affordable, clean and easy to use sites.
